Privacy Policy

The short version

NovaGrid is a collection of free, browser-based tools (image, audio and video conversion, QR code generation, and more). Every tool runs entirely on your own device. The files you convert are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded to us or to anyone else — we never receive, see, or store them. The only data anyone collects is the standard advertising and technical data described below, which comes from showing ads through Google.

The files you process

The tools on this site use WebAssembly and standard browser APIs to read and convert your files locally, inside your browser tab. Your images, audio, video and other files:

• are not uploaded to any server,
• are not transmitted to us or to third parties,
• are not stored by us, and
• are discarded from your browser's memory when you close or reload the page.

Because conversion happens on your device, most tools continue to work even with your internet connection switched off once the page has loaded — something you are welcome to verify.

Information collected automatically

We do not run our own analytics and we do not ask you to create an account. However, like most websites, when you visit, our hosting provider and our advertising partner (Google) may automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. This is used to deliver and secure the site and to serve and measure ads.

Cookies and advertising

This site shows advertising provided by Google through the Google AdSense program. To do this, Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies. Specifically:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Consent and personalised ads

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, or to object to certain processing. Because we do not maintain accounts or store your files, the main data involved is the advertising data handled by Google — you can exercise most choices directly through the Google and industry opt-out links above. We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here.
